Flip a Coin

A collaboration from across the globe, international duo Flip a Coin brings an independent spirit to making progressive metal on a cinematic scale. They write the songs they want to hear while paying homage to bands that defined what the genre is today.

Founded in Czechia in 2018 as the passion project of then 17 year old multi-instrumentalist and producer Tomáš Bíza, the band now includes vocalist Heyden Smith of Oklahoma who joined the studio project in 2020 with debut track, "Haven".

The 2024 debut album Reunion represents four years of creative growth and collaboration across a 7 hour time difference for the band. Melodic post-hardcore anthems (Lotus, Lifestream) contrast borderline deathcore songs (Amaterasu, The Algorithm) and progressive metal epics (False Promises, Passengers). Experimentation runs free for 58 minutes in this 9-song album with plenty of high moments.
